Classes Meet at Trinity College on Sundays

Offering a variety of language and cultural programs for all ages and abilities

A.  K to 9th grade Language Program

We offer age-blended language classes for students with Chinese heritage from grades K to 9, and special designed classes to accommodate English-speaking families. Students learn to speak, write and read both traditional (正體字) and simplified characters (简体字). They also learn Hanyu Pinyin (汉语拼音), the most widely used Romanization of the Mandarin phonetics. We celebrate Chinese festivals and introduce Chinese culture to facilitate learning in a fun and holistic learning environment. Our curriculum incorporates language learning experience with real world projects to hone students' problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Time: 1:30 - 3:20 pm on Sundays

B.  Cultural Enrichment Program

We offer a variety of cultural enrichment classes: Kung Fu (martial arts), Tai Chi, Chinese painting and traditional arts and craft. These classes offer unique opportunities for both Chinese heritage families and adoptive/blended English speaking families to meet people interested in Chinese culture and to (re)discover their heritage.

C.  Adult Conversation Classes

Adult conversation classes are for anyone who would like to learn Chinese with or without prior experience. We provide three levels of classes: Novice/beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
